About Mrs. Gerard
For the last 7 years I was a teacher at Fourteen Holy Helpers School in West Seneca. I taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade ELA and Religion for two years, 3rd for one and most recently four years as the Librarian and Pre –K teacher. Prior to that, I taught 1st and 4th grade at St. Bernard’s in Buffalo.
I am the mother of 8 wonderful children (ages 28 – 15) all whom have/do attend Catholic High Schools and Catholic elementary schools, as did myself and my husband of 31 years. Therefore I truly believe that I understand your sacrifice and commitment to your child’s education.
Reading is a Foundational skill for learning, personal growth and enjoyment.
Library lessons focus on collaborating with the classroom curriculum as well as supporting common core standards.
Welcome Back!! I am very excited to start a new year with the students. One change I have made since last year, is that I will be charging late and lost fees for books and movies. The fee will be 5 cents a day for overdue books and a quarter a day for overdue movies. I will make sure the students receive an overdue slip so they know what they need to return.
THANK YOU TO THE McDonald Family for their generous donation of books.
