2nd Grade

Mrs. Mary Jane Liszewski

(716) 652-5855

Let me introduce myself:

My name is Miss Mary Jane Liszewski and I LOVE teaching!  It is my passion and my joy! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from D'Youville College.  I have a Master's Degree in Secondary Education from Canisius College with permanent certification.

My whole professional career has been spent in Catholic Eduction.  I celebrate 35 years from my early days teaching at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament School, Depew, through my administrative role as principal of Holy Angels School in Buffalo, St. John the Baptist School in Alden, Annunciation School in Elma, then back to the classroom at Immaculate Conception School !

I BELIEVE I have a SACRED TRUST to help students be the best they can be in their spiritual, social, and academic growth and development.

This SACRED TRUST is a SACRED RESPONSIBILITY and I thank YOU, parents, for entrusting me with those you hold most precious, your CHILDREN.

I work hard to bring JOY and EXCITEMENT into my classroom through "Out-of-the box" teaching methods!  These methods are simulations and hands-on which serve to:

  • Accommodate every child's learning style and ability
  • Capture imagination and breed academic confidence and success
  • Meet the rigor of the Common Core Curriculum
  • Develop a life-long LOVE OF LEARNING!

2013 Recipient of the Sister Lucille Socciarelli-Father John Strum Making A Difference Award. It has been an amazing and humbling experience. THANK YOU to all who nominated me for this award!

We LOVE Second Grade!  It "ROCKS"!
